SPESIFIKASI Motor Ahl Fambeni | Motor Berbahan Bakar Hydrogen
South Africa (South Africa) do not want to lose in terms of environment-based automotive industry. A prototype hydrogen electric motorcycle created successfully.
"These motors will inspire young people for innovation South Africa," said Minister of Transport, Science, and Technology South Africa, Naledi Pandor, as quoted from IAfrica, Tuesday (21/09/2010).
Motor was named Ahi Fambeni, which is the result of design Pierre Terblanche. Pierre previously served as Director of Ducati Design during 1997-2007.
However environmentally friendly motor was built by the Tshwane University of Technology students using power from fuel cell materials, oxygen and hydrogen to create zero emissions per cent.
Pandor revealed, the future of the electric motor can be seen from China in the last decade. "The growth of the country's electric motor is spectacular. When in 1998 there were only 400 000 electric motors, then in 2008 had reached 21 million units of electric motors," said Pandor in front of students.
He also revealed that hydrogen was chosen because it does not emit any emissions. "This is what we need as a consequence of climate change," he continued.
And the South African government, he said, would be seriously working on hydrogen as a new source of energy for transportation systems in the country.
